Rose was a real homebody and loved her home and her belongings. She never lost her love for Elmira, and often took the train down to spend a few days on Front Street.
She worshipped her son, Daniel, and thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren. She was devastated when her son, Dan, was diagnosed with cancer, and died of a broken heart because of his illness.
